Being an integral part of the massive African continent, Egypt offers myriad travel possibilities. Due to its unique geographical location Egypt has always helped to facilitate transportation between Africa, Asia, and Europe. Egypt's strategic location between Africa and Asia also gives it a special importance in the Arab world with respect to regional politics.
Egypt is found on a desert plateau that is divided in half by the Nile Delta. Most of the population is settled in and around the Nile Delta. Since time immemorial Egyptians have associated the River Nile with life, fertility and development. It is said that it is from the River Nile that the Egyptians have drawn their friendly character. From it they have gained generosity, sincerity, and fidelity from its flow and flood.
